July 1st…

So it is the first day of July and I have spent the day at the fireworks stand. ¬†We got the product around 11:00 and were open for business just after 12:00. ¬†Our first sale wasn’t until 2:45 and I don’t think we have sold anything since then. ¬†I will probably be here everyday until the 4th. ¬†I have been sitting outside for the last 2 hours making sure nobody walks off with our generator. ¬†It is nice to sit in the shade and enjoy the breeze. ¬†Although I do think my forehead got burned earlier today.

We have church tonight and then on the 4th we will have a picnic at the church. I am looking forward to hanging out with friends and family. ¬†Ruth will be staying with us on the 3rd to the 4th.

I have a few things going on in July. James and I will be going to visit Rebekah and Matt in Delaware with my parents on the 28th. ¬†We will return on August 4th. On August 6th I leave for Portland, Oregon for James’ cousin’s wedding. ¬†I will be in Oregon until the 11th with the Ashton family and then on the 12th we will all drive back to San Francisco. ¬†On the 13th Ruth, Daniel, and I will drive back down here to So Cal. ¬†Daniel will be visiting us for a few days so I will have some company. ¬†I am looking forward to visiting everyone this summer.

Unexpected News

James got a phone call from his parents this morning that his grandmother had passed away in her sleep last night. ¬†This was unexpected because on Saturday we were told that she was doing okay. ¬†Hospice had only been visiting twice a week and the Ashton’s were visiting every other week. ¬†Please be in prayer for the family. ¬†We had plans to visit in June. As of right now we are not sure when we will be leaving but we will be heading up to be with the family this weekend. ¬†We are all doing okay but it is going to be a hard week.

Thanksgiving

So I have found Thanksgiving to be a wonderful holiday to reflect on the important things in life! ¬†I love the relaxed family atmosphere and all the good food, but even more than all that I love giving thanks for the things the Lord has done in my life! ¬†I have been blessed these last few months and really don’t have the time or the space to go into all of it so I will only talk about a few! ¬†

I have been married to the most wonderful man in the world for just over 5 months now! ¬†I love him with all my heart and have enjoyed growing closer to him. ¬†We have learned to love each other more everyday! ¬†

I appreciate all my friends! ¬†You all know who you are! ¬†The Lord has given me many people that surround me everyday and help to make my life fun and exciting! ¬†I love all of you and really enjoy being there for you! ¬†

I love my family! ¬†You are all fun and make family get-togethers exciting! ¬†I love the memories we all make when we are together! ¬†Most of all I love the spiritual aspect of our friendships! ¬†

I love my Lord! ¬†I am so thankful for my salvation and the mercy and grace of my Lord! ¬†He has blessed me beyond what I have expected! ¬†I am speechless when it comes to my thanks to Him!
