Sat, 31 Jul 2010 03:25:03 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.9.2 en hourly 1 The New Year http://naesheart.com/2010/01/05/the-new-year/ http://naesheart.com/2010/01/05/the-new-year/#comments Tue, 05 Jan 2010 21:00:39 +0000 Renae http://naesheart.com/?p=746 Well, the new year is here and it brought tiredness and work with it.  I am doing good, just tired from to many late nights on vacation and traveling.  On New Year’s Eve, James, Ruth, Daniel, and I stayed up playing Wii until midnight and then went out onto the porch to watch some of the fireworks across the bay.  We said our Happy New Years… finished our game and went to bed.  Mom and Dad had been up playing games with us but went to bed around 10.  It was a very nice and relaxing vacation.  We didn’t really go places, We did the whole “I am going to the mall, Does anybody else want to come?” We never all went the same place together.  It was much more fun to stay home and enjoy the time together.  We got home on Saturday night and have been going none stop ever since.

I have been back at work for 2 days and I am already getting some extra hours so that is nice.  I am also coaching jr. high girl’s volleyball and the first game of our season is on Thursday.  I am looking forward to it… I am also hoping for a winning season, but I don’t know if I will get that.  Yesterday was James’ 24th birthday.  One of his students brought him a cake and we went out to dinner with my parents, Tim, and Ruth.  TGI Friday’s has good food and after we had stuffed ourselves we got our dessert to go and headed to our house to play some Wii and hang out.  It was a great ending to my vacation.

I am back to being busy.  I have volleyball practice Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 3:45-5:00.  The extra time is nice for James since it gives him time to work on stuff at school and church.  I am also able to volunteer in the school office and I really enjoy that.

]]> http://naesheart.com/2010/01/05/the-new-year/feed/ 2 July 1st… http://naesheart.com/2009/07/01/july-1st/ http://naesheart.com/2009/07/01/july-1st/#comments Wed, 01 Jul 2009 23:24:21 +0000 Renae http://naesheart.com/?p=640 So it is the first day of July and I have spent the day at the fireworks stand.  We got the product around 11:00 and were open for business just after 12:00.  Our first sale wasn’t until 2:45 and I don’t think we have sold anything since then.  I will probably be here everyday until the 4th.  I have been sitting outside for the last 2 hours making sure nobody walks off with our generator. :)  It is nice to sit in the shade and enjoy the breeze.  Although I do think my forehead got burned earlier today.

We have church tonight and then on the 4th we will have a picnic at the church. I am looking forward to hanging out with friends and family.  Ruth will be staying with us on the 3rd to the 4th.

I have a few things going on in July. James and I will be going to visit Rebekah and Matt in Delaware with my parents on the 28th.  We will return on August 4th. On August 6th I leave for Portland, Oregon for James’ cousin’s wedding.  I will be in Oregon until the 11th with the Ashton family and then on the 12th we will all drive back to San Francisco.  On the 13th Ruth, Daniel, and I will drive back down here to So Cal.  Daniel will be visiting us for a few days so I will have some company. :)  I am looking forward to visiting everyone this summer.

]]> http://naesheart.com/2009/05/28/memorial-day-weekend-pictures/feed/ 0 A fun…but busy weekend http://naesheart.com/2009/05/25/a-funbut-busy-weekend/ http://naesheart.com/2009/05/25/a-funbut-busy-weekend/#comments Mon, 25 May 2009 17:16:37 +0000 Renae http://naesheart.com/?p=601 Well it is Monday, Memorial Day!  This has been a long but very fun weekend.  James, Ruth, and I left Thursday at 3:30 to head up to San Francisco for the Family Gathering in honor of Grandma Margie.  We got to Mom and Dad’s house around 11:30 pm and headed to bed.  We were all tired from the drive, we had hit traffic in LA.

On Friday morning we were up around 7:00 am and on the road by 9:00 am.  We were heading up to Oroville where the Family Gathering was going to be.  We took our time on the trip and got in just before 1:00 pm.  We then started getting things ready for Saturday.  We went to the store, printed pictures, cleaned the house, organized food, took a walk, and played with Melissa.  We had a great time and were all ready for the next day.  

On Saturday morning family started to arrive at 11:00 am.  We had a great turnout, about 75 people showed up to honor Grandma Margie.  It was great to meet family members that I hadn’t gotten to before.  Being with Melissa and the rest to the family made the whole day perfect.  We left there around 4:00 pm and enjoyed a quiet evening at home.  

Of course on Sunday we had church and the a Memorial Day church picnic.  It was freezing and no one had the proper clothing so we went to Target and found absolutely nothing to help keep us warm.  We headed to the Giant’s Dugout… a store that sells only Giants gear.  We found sweatshirts, beanies, and jackets to keep us warm.  Then we headed to the park.  It was a lot of fun even if it was really cold.  We got home around 4:00 pm and the siblings started to go through old pictures with their parents…Melissa and I both took a nap.  James fixed dinner and dessert.  We enjoyed spending time together as a family.

Today we are going through more pictures and having Bar-B-Qued porkloin for lunch.  We are also going to make ice cream.  James, Ruth, and I plan to leave around 2:00 pm and head back to LA.  I have really enjoyed being with the family.

Melissa has entertained us all… she will sign words or say them.  She now signs and says Auntie and Uncle.  She also says Grandma and Grandpa.  She is a charmer and so cute.  I love her and am really going to miss her.  I am glad that we got a lot of pictures of her.  I also got video footage of her playing with all of her aunties and uncles.  

It has been a great trip. Pictures will be up soon.  I will let you know.
