ABOUT RENAE
I was born in Idaho, but don’t remember living there. I do remember living in Michigan. When I was six we moved cross country to California. I have lived here since. I am working at Bethel Baptist Church and School as support staff.
ABOUT JAMES
I was born in the Bay Area, and grew up there. I am currently teaching 5th grade at Bethel Baptist School and working on the Tech Team at Bethel Baptist Church.
HOW WE MET
James and I met our first year of college at Pacific Baptist College. I wasn’t a full time student yet, but still managed to hang out with the college students quite a bit. The first time we ever hung out was at the fair. We started actually talking in November. Throughout Christmas Break and the Spring semester we wrote notes, talked on the phone, and e-mailed. We worked together the summer of 2005 at the college, rebuilding the student center. In July/August, I took a cross-country trip with my parents to drop my sister off at college in WI. From there I flew to San Francisco to go to Mary & John’s Wedding (James’ Sister & brother-in-law). On August 29th, in Pomona, CA James asked my dad if he could date me. We have been dating ever since.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
Well, at about 7:15 am I heard a knock at my front door. My parents had already left the house so I got up to answer it. It was James and He invited me to go to breakfast with him. I said yes and he gave me 45 min to get ready. When he returned I was sitting in the living room waiting for him. At 8:00 am on Friday morning in my living room, He got down on one knee and proposed. I said, YES!!!

WHERE WE WENT ON OUR HONEYMOON
For our honeymoon we rented a Mustang¬†Convertible¬†and drove up the coast. We started out in Huntington Beach from the Hyatt Resort. ¬†On Sunday, we drove up PCH and enjoyed all of the beautiful scenery! ¬†We stopped in Morro Bay and enjoyed two¬†relaxing¬†days. ¬†The weather was wonderful and the town peaceful! ¬†We left there on Tuesday and stopped at Hearst Castle on our way to Monterey Bay. ¬†We stayed in Monterey for three nights. ¬†While there we enjoyed the ocean, the¬†aquarium, and a wonderful meal in Carmel at Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch¬†Restaurant! On Friday, we continued up the coast and reached James’ parent’s home around noon. ¬†We stayed with them through Monday when we made our way back home by way of the 5 fwy. ¬†It was fun and relaxing and very enjoyable.
