Five Minute Friday: Story

1. Write for 5 minutes flat on the prompt: “Dance” with no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

Here is my best on:
Story

START

I sit with my Bible open and a book next to me…I read His story!

I sit with my child on my knee and open his board book…I read him a story!

I look around at the life I am living and wonder what my story looks like…

Is it interesting, boring, a testimony?

Will those around me see Christ’s story in my life?

When I reach the end of the day my living room tells the story of what happened in my house that day…

And though my house is usually messy “My messy living room tells the tale that a certain little boy had fun that day.”

I can only hope and pray that my life’s story honors and glorifies the Lord and that it helps teach my son about Him.

The most beautiful question: “Will those around me this Christ’s story in my life?” I want to live this day with that question guiding my every action. Thank you.

Great post! So happy that you linked up! I have two little boys so I can definitely relate to the messy home :) but I love your perspective on it!!!

I’d love to invite you to stop by and join my online study of Ephesians! It starts next week! :)

    Blessings,
    Melanie

  4. Such a nice 5 Minute Friday. I too look at my house at the end of the day and think ‘it’s okay that it’s a mess…the kiddos had a blast.’
