So I am in the Greenwood Library in Delaware and I am having a great time.  So far we have been to the Delaware State Fair, the Dover Mall, and Now I am visiting my sister’s work.  I have taken many pictures and am looking forward to sharing them with you soon.  I have been doing great and we are all enjoying the time spent together.  Our plans for tomorrow are to go visit the Smithsonians in Washington DC.  I hope you are all having a good week.  I will blog again soon! :)

Well our week of vacation is almost here.  We will be heading up to my parents house in Pomona tomorrow afternoon and spending the night with them.  On Tuesday morning around 6:30 am, we will all be heading to Ontario Airport to fly to Delaware… Yes you read that right Delaware.  And just in case you were going to ask… that is the state! :)  Had to include that since I have been asked that question.  So we should get into Delaware (well actually Baltimore since Delaware doesn’t have its own airport) around 8:00 pm there time.  So for the next week I will be 3 hours ahead of you.  We are hopefully going to have a very full week.  We plan on going to Washington DC to visit the Smithsonians.  We are also probably going to Rehoboth Beach and some other things.  I am looking forward to seeing my sister over anything else.  I haven’t seen her since my wedding a year and a month ago.  I have missed her immensely and am looking forward to just hanging out with her.

We should be home from Delaware on August 4th.  I will be home for almost 2 days and then I will be heading to Oregon to attend the wedding of Leroy and Tori.  I will be hanging out with James’ family and enjoying the time with them.  I will also get to see John, Mary and Melissa.  I am really excited about all of the traveling I will be doing and all of the family I will get to see!  I will try to keep a log of the activities we do so I can blog when I get home.  I will also have a lot of pictures to post and maybe even some videos.  I hope you all have a great week… I know I will! :)

Well my Saturday started out normal… sleeping in and enjoying a morning at home with James.  Around 10:00 we headed to Chino to get my allergy shots and then to wal-mart to pick up a few things and get a prescription filled.  We were home around noon and waiting for Ruth to come visit us.  Around 2:30 we got a phone call that Ruth had been in an accident.  She is okay but the car doesn’t look to good.  We went and picked her up and then followed the tow truck so we could clean the car out.  We headed home and then encouraged Ruth the go to Urgent Care just to make sure she was okay.  We had originally planned to hang out at the beach or the OC fair, but ended up at the Dr.’s instead.  After the dr.’s we grabbed some food and headed home.  We had a relaxing evening and then took Ruth back to Pomona.

On Sunday we had a great day at church.  The evening service was a prayer and praise service.  It was so refreshing to have a time of prayer and encouragement.  I love singing and praising the Lord.

I love the lazy feeling summer has… the sleeping in, sitting around the house, running errands at your leisure.

I babysat Emma and Elli yesterday morning and that was ton of fun. Then Ruth and I headed to Wal-Mart to get the oil changed on her car… that took about 2 hours… we got back to my apartment and hung out with my parents. James’ softball team, the Dirtbags, had a game so we headed to the park and a great time watching the Dirtbags…lose. :(  oh well they played a good game.  After the game we all headed back to the apartment for dinner and the Cosby Show!  I love that show! :)

Today, James and I have been enjoying the relaxing day at home.  We have plans for this evening but that is about it for today.  Oh I have to make a cake for our young marrieds activity tonight.

Yesterday was the first day of the OC Fair.  It is about 3 blocks from our apartment.  We haven’t been disrupted yet, but I am sure that will change.  WE will probably go next week. :) Hope you all are having a great summer! :)

Well it has been a very busy weekend.  I won’t go into all the details of the week, but I will start with the 4th.  On the 4th, James headed to the fireworks stand at 6:30 am.  He was there all day long. Ruth had spent the night on the 3rd so she dropped me off at the fireworks stand around 11:00 am.  Ruth headed home because she had to work and James and I hung out at the fireworks stand for the rest of the day… literally. We sold a lot of fireworks and had a great time but my feet hurt so bad at the end of the day.  I think I had sat down for a total of maybe 30 min.  We didn’t leave the stand until after 8 pm.  We had to close at 8 and count all the inventory we had left so that it could be returned the next day.  After doing all this, James and I headed to the church and handed over some of the things that couldn’t be returned to the families there.  We light off some small fireworks and then headed home.  We had only been at the church for an hour but we were both really tired and our feet were killing us.

On Sunday, we had normal church services in the morning, but because they had an evening service on the 4th we didn’t have an evening service on the 5th.  James and I came home from church ate lunch and then I took a 2 hour nap.  We headed out around 5:15 for a surprise party for one of our friends.  The party was great fun and he was so surprised.  We had hot dogs, chips, soda, and for dessert s’mores.  It was a very enjoyable way to end the weekend.  Pictures are up for all of the activities on the picture page or you can get to them from here July Activities

James had to work this morning, but when he got home we headed out to the mall, just to get out of the house.  We are back home now and as I am blogging, James is working on a puzzle.  This evening we have a bible study at Pastor Matt’s house.  It is called Meatchew, basically Matt picks a book and we get together once a month to discuss the chapter we read.  Right now we are going through the book “The Pursuit of God” by AW Tozer.  I really enjoy the discussions and getting to know the others on a different level than just at church.

Pastor Matt has also been teaching the young marrieds sunday school class at church.  He has given us all a lot to think about and has challenged us to put time and effort into our marriages.  He has challenged us to personally walk with God and grow in our relationship with Him.  As we do this, we find ourselves wanting to work at our marriage.  Yesterday in Sunday School he was talking about our idolatrous heart and how anything, even something good, can become an idol if we dwell on it to much.  He challenged us to examine our own life and to be open and honest with our spouse about the things that we are holding on to.  He put this quote in the notes he gave us: “What makes something idolatry is when we love that thing too much- our desire for that good thing is more intense than our desire to please God.”  I want God to be the center of my worship, but in order for that to be I have to let go of the things that I hold dear… Am I willing to do this?  Are you?

So it is the first day of July and I have spent the day at the fireworks stand.  We got the product around 11:00 and were open for business just after 12:00.  Our first sale wasn’t until 2:45 and I don’t think we have sold anything since then.  I will probably be here everyday until the 4th.  I have been sitting outside for the last 2 hours making sure nobody walks off with our generator. :)  It is nice to sit in the shade and enjoy the breeze.  Although I do think my forehead got burned earlier today.

We have church tonight and then on the 4th we will have a picnic at the church. I am looking forward to hanging out with friends and family.  Ruth will be staying with us on the 3rd to the 4th.

I have a few things going on in July. James and I will be going to visit Rebekah and Matt in Delaware with my parents on the 28th.  We will return on August 4th. On August 6th I leave for Portland, Oregon for James’ cousin’s wedding.  I will be in Oregon until the 11th with the Ashton family and then on the 12th we will all drive back to San Francisco.  On the 13th Ruth, Daniel, and I will drive back down here to So Cal.  Daniel will be visiting us for a few days so I will have some company. :)  I am looking forward to visiting everyone this summer.
