Well yesterday my girls played their 2nd game!  They started off much better than their last game!  We lost the first match 21-25 and the 2nd match 18-25 but they played their hardest and I am proud of them!  Our next game isn’t until Feb 10 so we have some time to work on a few things!  Serving will definitely be one of them!  :)

After the game, which started at 3:00 in the afternoon, James and I went grocery shopping and then came home and had soup and crackers for dinner!  At 8:00 we headed out to Trey and Anna’s so James and Trey could go to a meeting with some of the other male youth leaders and Anna, Rebekah J., and I hung out at the house and watched Fireproof!

This is a movie I highly recommend for all Christian couples!  It was a great movie about a couple who’s marriage is slowly falling apart and they have decided to get a divorce!  The father of the husband challenges him to wait 40 days before signing the divorce papers and gives him a book that has things to do for his wife for 40 days!  This movie has a very straightforward and crystal clear salvation message!  It is clean, but really shows you the struggle that couples go through!  I loved it and will definitely be watching it again!

Today I have had a problem with hives!  I did go and work my 3 scheduled hours and then I came home took Benadryl and went to bed!  I slept from 1:15-4:45 and am feeling much better!  Although the hives aren’t completely gone they are at least manageable for church and then I will take more Benadryl afterwards!

Please pray for this Sunday!  It is Bethel’s annual Main Event!  The one where we encourage all the teens to invite unsaved friends to come and watch the Super Bowl with us!  At the middle of the 2nd quarter, We have a service!  We have had teens saved in the past and are looking forward to seeing what the Lord will do through this activity!

I hope you are all doing well!

So I know have insurance and needed to get a referral from my primary care doctor so my insurance would cover my allergist!  I had an appointment at 9:10 this morning and the appt. went well!  The Dr sent in the referral and asked if I would like a flu shot!  I said sure!  He also asked me to get some blood work done so he would have a record of my allergies!  So I was off to the lab to get blood taken!  They took 4 vials so I was a little light headed!  Both the flu shot and the blood was done in my left arm!  I then went to the allergist to get my shots!  One shot in each arm and we upped the dosage that I was given!  So my body is trying to balance the weakness from the blood being taken, the allergy shots, and the flu shot!  I have been poked by 4 needles today and is thankful that I won’t be poked by any more until later this week!  My left arm is really sore!

James and I have today off since most of the kids at Bethel are asian and today is Chinese New Year!  We are having Ruth, Hannah, and Jireh over this afternoon!  We are looking forward to a great time!

So my week has been very fun, but also very busy and it is only Thursday!  On Monday, we had the day off because of Martin Luther King Day.  This was still a busy day!  I went to get my allergy shots and had a volleyball practice, after practice James and I went home and Tim and Thomas came to visit us!  We had a great evening of food and fellowship!

On Tuesday, I was having problems with allergies and my eyes were itching really bad so I stayed home from work and watched the Inaugural events!  My girls had a volleyball game at 3:30 and it was an away game so We left the school at 2:30!  The girls had convinced themselves that we were playing a really good team and they did awful in the first match!  We lost 6-25 so in between games I gave them a pep talk and told them the other team was playing sloppy and they needed to get their act together!  They did much better in the 2nd match but still lost 21-25!  So our first game was a loss but the girls did have fun.  James and I got home around 5:30 and James made Creamy Ranch Breaded Chicken Pasta (you can find the recipe at James blog)

Yesterday was Wednesday and I worked in the morning planning on going to the allergist at 2:00.  When I got to work I was asked if I could do a K-5 nap room!  I told them I could stay until 2:00 so instead of leaving at 12:35 I was able to work until 2:00.  At 2:00 I left and headed to the allergist!  I was able to get eye drops and those will hopefully help!  I came back to the church around 4:15 and hung out with James, Spencer, and Rebekah in the auditorium!  We went to church and headed home!

So now we have come to Thursday and I am subbing in a k-4 class!  I will be working all day and then having volleyball practice after this!  I am thankful for all the extra hours at work!  I am also thankful that we have Monday off!  It is Chinese New Year and almost all of the kids are absent anyways!  Ruth is planning on coming and spending the day with us when she gets out of class!

This weekend we have a young married activity on Saturday night and I am hopefully going to be spending some time with my cousin, Jeremy!  I am not sure what we will be doing yet but we are working on something!  I hope you are all having a great week!

Today, America witnessed history!  We inaugurated an African-American President!  President Obama gave a very good speech.  I am not sold on what he is saying but I will give him credit for his very passionate speech!  Former President Bush is heading home to his ranch in Texas and seems very happy to be going back home!  I will probably be watching the inaugural speech again because James was at school and I am not sure how much he got to see!

I am going to be praying for President Obama and his family!  I am hoping that he will surround himself with a great administration!  I am going to pay close attention to what is going on in the office of the Presidency!  I am not out to criticize.  Let us not forget that God is still in control!

Well, we were supposed to have our first v-ball game yesterday, but the other team was a “no show!”  Coach Joel called them and was told that they had sent an e-mail to the league president the day before indicating that they didn’t have enough girls for a team!  Joel never got an email about this so we were all ready to go!  We had the gym until 5:00 so we decided to use it any-ways!  I split the girls up into 2 teams and we played a scrimmage  game!  It was a very eye opening experience for all of the girls!  James kindly recorded it so we can actually see how each girl played!  The girls and myself were disappointed but I was glad for the extra practice time!  Hopefully, we will be able to work on a few things and be more ready for our next game!  I will keep you posted!

So this week at school is Spirit Week and I am really looking forward to it!  Today is crazy hair day!  It is hilarious!  Pastor Matt had a bunch of little ponytails and a bow or two!  One of the office ladies had purple hair!  It has already been a fun day!  Tomorrow is Red, white, and blue day!  Also, the Jr High Volleyball team has their first game tomorrow!  Wednesday is Retro Day, Thursday is Multiplicity Day, and Friday is Warrior Day!  I am looking forward to a great week!

Among other news, I subbed in K-4 this morning and am not really sure what the rest of the week holds but I am loving the extra hours!

Hope you all have a great week!

Well, Monday was our first day back to school and we have hit the ground running!  James is back at the grind with 5th grade and I have subbed the last 2 days in 2nd grade!  It has been interesting and fun!  Since they are coming back from break it has been a fairly easy two days!  We are hoping the teacher is back tomorrow!  Her husband had surgery and was supposed to go home from the hospital today!

Among other news, my volleyball team is looking good and excited about their first game next Tuesday!  They got their jerseys today and that was really exciting for them!

Yesterday, near the end of volleyball practice, we noticed a large plume of smoke coming from the other side of the building!  So being the curious girls that we are we all went running to the fence!  One of James’ students mothers had pulled into the parking lot and the engine of her van was on fire!  Fred, Daniel Henry, and Eric go running over there with fire extinguishers and a few minutes later we hear sirens!  Yes, the fire department came to Bethel and put out the fire!  there was a huge plume of thick, black smoke and then the sky went clear!  For the next 30 minutes the fire men tore the van apart to make sure the were no hot spots!  Because of were the fire was nobody could come in or go out of the parking lot!  It made for am exciting evening!  Thankful nobody was injured!  I should have a link to the school’s web-site with the news story soon!

Yesterday was a great day for Steve and Sarah Jones!  Sarah gave birth to Chase Danger Jones!  Yes, that is his name!  He was 8lbs and some odd ozs and 20in long!  Our Congratulations go out to them!  :)

So besides all of this we have had a fairly uneventful week!  Well I guess James’ birthday is important!  On Sunday, James turned 23.  I threw a small party for him on Saturday night because his mom, Ruth, and my parents were all able to visit us!  On Sunday, Mom A took James, Ruth and I to Red Robin for lunch!  Other than that life has been normal! :)  Ummm Define Normal!!!!  :)  lol Life is going great and God is good

Well I hope you all have a great week!

Happy New Year!

I had a great time up in SF with James’ family!  We drove home yesterday and got home around 10 PM.  Because of driving we were both very tired and after unloading the truck we headed to bed!  I woke up around mid-night when people started yelling “Happy New Year” and throwing poppers and shooting off fireworks!

James and I got up around 8 and turned on the TV to watch the Rose Parade!  It was beautiful!  Because we had been gone for a week we needed to go grocery shopping!  I also needed to get my house ready because I am having friends over for lunch tomorrow!  So my day mainly consisted of shopping, unpacking, cleaning, and relaxing!   Everything is done and I am about ready to go to bed!  I get really tired while traveling and my back always hurts when I have sat in the truck seat for a while.

I have no plans to make a new years resolution!  I am happy and thankful for the life God has blessed me with!  I am very thankful for Spencer working tirelessly on our corrupted SD card!  We finally got honeymoon pictures, only 6 months later!  I was definitely a very nice New Years present!  I am so thankful for them!  I have all of my pictures on a page here on my site!  Just look at the right hand column, at the very top and click on the word pictures!

There are a lot of them!  Enjoy!
