Christmas 2008

Hope you enjoy!

Well, we are enjoying Christmas in San Francisco!  We had a party last night and really enjoyed playing games and spending time with the Bennicoff’s, the Allen’s and Ben Brewer!  This morning we got up and  had breakfast.  After breakfast we opened presents and have just enjoyed being together!  The guys have been playing games on the Wii and we have occasionally been working on a puzzle!  A few people went out and took a walk to Indian Rock I didn’t go it was to cold and windy!  I have been enjoying time with  Melissa and she is adjusting to everyone.  Tomorrow we are heading up to Oroville to visit Grandma and Grandpa Richardson’s house!  On Saturday morning we are going to take family pictures.  I hope you all enjoy spending time with your families!

So this is going to be part one of Christmas’ posts!  Last night, James and I went to Lighthouses Cantata and then headed to my parents house so we could do Christmas with them!  Since we were going to be in San Francisco for Christmas we wanted to give my parents their gifts before we left!  So after church we headed home and my mom made pizza.  While it was cooking we talked and enjoyed time together.  After we ate we opened our gifts!  Some of the things I got were: a pair of black and a pair of khaki pants from my parents, Ratatouille from Rebekah and Matt.  James got: a nice dress shirt and tie from my parents, a journal from my parents, a gun for out Wii from Rebekah and Matt.  We also got a couple gifts together.  We got: a GPS from Tim, and a set of Wii Sports Nerf controllers from my parents!  All in all we had a wonderful time and enjoyed being with them!

At 6:00 this morning we loaded up our truck and headed out for San Francisco!  We made the trip in almost exactly 6 hours!  We only made one stop and that was for gas and the bathroom!  It is nice to be out of the car and able to relax for a little bit!

Merry Christmas

Last night we went with some of the young marrieds to Newport’s boat parade.  We got there around 6:45 pm and got a really good spot!  Only we weren’t sure if the parade came by the spot we were at!  Robin Hoiser called her dad and asked him to check the internet to find out the route and the time it was supposed to come by where we were!  it was going to come by our spot but not until 8:30!  We had a lot of time to kill and had great fellowship!  There were three couples, including us!  James and Courtney Bakan and Robin and Dave Hoiser!  Finally the boats did come and we really enjoyed all of the lights and decorations!  We left around 9:30 and headed to Sunset Beach to eat at the Harbor House!  Lori and Eli Martinez met us there and we all got warm and had some more fun and fellowship!  It was a really fun night and I am looking forward to more activities and even next years Boat Parade!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

tags,

Don’t go away!  I really enjoy the rain!  I can sit and listen to it for a long time!  I love opening the blinds and curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee (or hot Chocolate).  I could spend all of my afternoons this way!  I love the way I sleep when it is raining!  It has also started to feel like Christmas!  The temperature is cold and it is wet!  Although it isn’t good for those who are traveling because some of the passes are closed due to snow!  Also some of the desert areas have gotten snow!  I am enjoying the sound of rain outside!  I even went out and took some pics of things in the rain!  It is wonderful!  It is wet and cold but well worth the beauty that it brings!  Hope you all have a great holiday season!  Merry Christmas!

It has been 6 months since our wedding day! We are planning on going out later this week! We had a relaxing day at home and came back to the church early bc of a choir practice! We are really enjoying married life and am looking forward to the next 6 months! We are actually looking forward to a lifetime! :) In a week we will be at Lighthouse for their cantata and then spending the evening and night with my parents before heading up to San Francisco! We will be celebrating Christmas with my parents that night! We will be in SF for Christmas and until the 30th I think!

I really enjoyed the wedding yesterday!  The ceremony was beautiful and you could tell that it was a match made in heaven!  I took a lot of pics and won’t be able to post them all but I hope you enjoy the few I put up!  I saw a lot of old faces and a few new ones!  I was blessed to be able to let them use some of the decorations from my wedding and that made me very happy!  Everything turned out beautiful!  They are on their way to Hawaii for their honeymoon!  Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Casey Kuhlman!

Last night, Bethel had its staff Christmas party!  James and I had a lot of fun!  We had a delicious meal of Tri-tip, potatoes, salad, rolls, and lots of good desserts (including Bakalava)!  We played four different games in a round robin style (meaning we only had 5 minutes at each game)!  The games were all Christmas themed: Pictionary, Guess the Christmas song from a pic, guess what is in each stocking, and a Christmas version of Tri-bond!  My team lost but had a good time playing all of the games!  Everyone on staff also got a Christmas gift!  It is a blanket with your initials on it!  A lot of thought and planning went into that gift, especially to not mix them up!  I will be putting pics up soon!  Let me know how your Christmas activities are going!

So ’tis the season to hear kids sing!  We went to a Christmas program for K-5-6th grades on Wednesday night!  Today I am going to listening to my K-4 class sing with the other 3 K-4 classes!  I am very excited because I have been practicing the songs with them in the afternoons!  I will put up pics as soon as I can!  Let me know what programs you are going to this Christmas!

So we had the first volleyball practice yesterday!  It went well!  I am a little sore but not to bad!  I seem to have a good group of girls!  I am looking forward to our first game and super excited about the season!  Our first game is on Jan 13 @ 4:00.  It is a home game so the girls are really excited about it!  Please pray that we have no injuries and that all the girls have good attitudes!
