Okay, so I know I have already written a post this week, but I have had a few crazy days. On Monday, I noticed my toes were swollen. I really didn’t think anything about it until Wednesday morning. On Wednesday morning I almost passed out in the shower due to the pain of the spray hitting the toe right next to the big one on my right foot. I had pain, heat, and swelling. All three signs of an infection. All of my toes were still swollen, but only the one was infected. So I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics and a steroid. He said I had raynoud’s phenomenon. It is a constriction of the blood vessels, veins, and capillaries. Because of the cold weather and we think the allergy medicine, Claritan D, my blood was not pumping properly in my hands and feet and this caused my infection. The solution, stay as warm as possible, especially my hands and feet. So I have been wearing two pairs of socks every time I leave my house and gloves, not to mention dressing a little warmer. My toes are still a little swollen even as I write this. I am going to see my allergy doctor today and he will confirm the problems with the Claritan D. Another contributer to the problem could be my caffeine intake. So I have been drinking decaf coffee. I may have to change a few things in my life, but the one thing that will definitely stay the same is James. He has been a great support and encouragement through this time. We know that the Lord is in control and He knows what he is doing in my life. Please pray that things will get everything under control quickly.
